Some features of the Glory include nightclubs, duty-free shops, four pools, seven whirlpools, and a 214-foot water slide. Sixty percent of her staterooms have ocean views and sixty percent of those feature private balconies.
The Carnival Glory was last drydocked in January 2010. During that time, hull structure maintenance was conducted as well as underwater hull equipment inspections and underwater hull painting. The ship also received her Seaside Theater on Lido Deck 9 overlooking the main pool. In addition, she received the Circle C club for kids 12-14 and 18 balcony cabins.
Currently, Glory's home ports are Miami, Boston, New York, and Norfolk. In November 2009, Glory was redeployed to Miami, replacing the Carnival Triumph. The Carnival Glory was redeployed to Miami to make room for Carnival's newest ship, the Carnival Dream in Port Canaveral. Later in June 2010, Glory began doing summer cruises out of New York City, replacing the Triumph for Canadian-bound cruises. The Carnival Glory also has cruises out of Norfolk in both October & May.
The Glory is scheduled to enter drydock again from November 2-15, 2012. Among the scheduled refurbishments, the Glory is schedule to have RedFrog Rum Bar, Blue Iguana Tequila Bar, Alchemy Bar, EA Sports Bar, Guy Fieri’s Burger Joint, Blue Iguana Cantina, Punchliners Comedy Club & Brunch presented by George Lopez, Hasbro, The Game Show, Playlist Productions, DJ IRIE.
